Gardener Five – Bronte Porcelain
The Gardener Five (five of spades) character is concentrating hard on painting the white roses red as he planted the wrong colour rose bush. He is so frightened of losing his head to the Queen of Hearts that you can see the concentration on his face. It is technically very difficult to make as the body is extremely thin and requires complex propping so that the piece does not collapse during the firing process.
